The first step of playing music on the guitar is finding and collecting the notes to play. These can then be connected, made to phrases, delays removed, optimized to sound the way it is sung.
The below video shows you the TAB method of writing down fret numbers and strings on 6 lines, which is different from the 5 line staff notation. TAB has the advantage of letting us show slides, HO, PO etc in detail – we use them at a much higher extend than usual to play Indian music fluently.
