- You send a practice video (upto 5 minutes)
- Shyam records detailed corrections and practice steps (video + audio)
- Exact instructions: motion, timing, finger clarity, phrasing
- Your next steps become clear — even when you have just 5 minutes to practice
- Not more content, but focused corrections you can rewatch and practice
This is the fast and sure way to fix underlying technique, skills, competencies to make you a better musician, without needing frequent meetings.
Why Asynchronous Works
We are busy. Life and work commitments. Practice time is scarce.
Many of my students practice after leaving their child ren to school, before going to the office. Or in the lunch time in their car!
My utmost respect to you when you have such focus that you will not stop despite lack of time.
Too much content available - youtube whirlpool, fake progress apps. You try different and your practice looks like a person wearing a Lungi with an Armani suit.
You don't need more content. I will attest, curate and confirm what exactly to practice for your skills and goals to connect.
This plan removes confusion, gives exact next steps, and uses short feedback loops to build correctness, phrasing, and confidence without needing constant meetings.
- Removes guesswork: you always know the next correction to make — no wandering.
- Fixes technique at the source: motion, timing, clarity, phrasing — the invisible areas most teachers never diagnose.
- Fast progress with small steps: short videos → immediate targeted correction → you apply → next correction.
- No wasted effort: you’re not practising mistakes for a whole week; corrections arrive quickly.
- Fits busy adult life: you send a short clip whenever you practise; support happens around your schedule.
- More accurate than live calls: I can slow down your playing, zoom in, mark motions, and show exact micro-adjustments.
- Not “content” — this is deliberate correction: personalised, specific, and based on underlying mechanics, not lessons.
- Based on my method: connected playing, finger and body logic, phrasing from the Indian music sensibility, and the engineer-style detection of bottlenecks.
- Builds real confidence: you see your mistakes disappear one by one and know you are on the right track.
This structure works for adults who want correctness, clarity, and guided improvement — without the pressure or logistics of frequent calls.

The Lungi + Coat Problem
When learning is built from mixed sources — one idea from here, one technique from there — the result becomes non-coherent. The lungi + coat metaphor shows this perfectly: good parts individually, but not designed to work together.
Most students practise like this without knowing it. Below is the short explanation of how this happens, and how our method fixes it with one aligned system.
1. Mixing Without Alignment
Students take motions from one teacher, phrasing from another, habits from their past, and YouTube shortcuts — all with different assumptions. This creates functional mismatch, like wearing a lungi with a suit jacket.
2. Lack of Coherence
Parts may be correct individually, but if they come from different systems, they clash. This is why playing feels “off” even after years of practice — the parts don’t belong to the same framework.
3. Direction Drift (Wrong Station Problem)
Like boarding a train, switching platforms midway, and ending up elsewhere — learners switch frameworks without realising it. Not lack of effort, but loss of direction.
4. Confirmation Mixing
The mind glues together fragments that “feel right”: one YouTube tip, one friend’s advice, one old habit. This becomes a patchwork method — cherry-picked, not coherent.
5. The Result in Real Life
- effort doesn’t compound
- playing stays unpredictable
- technique doesn’t stabilise
- years of practice but not “smooth”
6. How Our Method Fixes This
We remove mixed motions, mixed phrasing, and mixed frameworks. You get one coherent pathway — one logic, one direction, one system. Instead of patchwork learning, you get aligned, compounding improvement.
This is why progress becomes clean, predictable, and fast.
